Legal notice for FY21 budget

Notice of Public Hearing to appear in Berkshire Eagle on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Text: CITY OF PITTSFIELD SCHOOL COMMITTEE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Pittsfield School Committee, in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 71, Section 38N, hereby gives notice to all interested parties that a virtual public hearing will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at 5pm to consider the Fiscal Year 2021 budget. All interested parties should attend the public hearing by calling (669)224-3412 and entering access code 923-736-901. The proposed budget will be posted on the business office page of the Pittsfield Public Schools website at and may be viewed after 12:00 noon, April 20, 2020.


FY20 Budget

FY20 Line Item Budget

The FY20 Line Item Budget was approved by the Pittsfield School Committee on April 24, 2019. The FY20 school budget will be reviewed at a City Council Public Hearing on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 7:00 pm in City Council Chambers. City Council approval of the full city budget, including the school department budget, is scheduled to take place in June.

The Governor's proposal includes an increase of $3.7M over FY19 Chapter 70 aid for Pittsfield. The House version of the budget proposes an increase of $3.89M over FY19 Chapter 70 aid for Pittsfield.
