Student work permits are issued at the Mercer Administration Center, 269 First Street. A completed work permit application is required before the permit may be issued; download applications here.

The employer must complete the Promise of Employment on page 1, and a parent or guardian must sign page 2. If the student is under 16, a doctor must fill out a section of the permit application.

The student must return the completed application in person to complete the work permit process. Permits are issued Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Mercer Administration Building, 269 First Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
