Dear Families & Students,

As we transition to all remote learning the Pittsfield Public Schools is committed to helping students access meals during this necessary pause in hybrid learning. 

Please Note:

  • All children 18 and under can participate in our free meal program.
  • Breakfast and lunch will be packaged together. 
  • Hot Ready to Eat Meals will be Available.
  • Parents can continue to pick-up meals for their children.
  • New meal times that align with remote learning lunch schedules.
  • Additional Meal Sites Available
  • Children and families can pick up from any meal site, it does not have to be from their school

Meal Storage and Heating Instructions

Please take a few moments to read the information below regarding storage and preparation of your meals. All food must be taken and consumed off site.

  • Foods requiring refrigeration need to be kept at a temperature of 40 degrees Fahrenheit or below

  • Foods that require heating should be refrigerated until ready to heat & consume

  • Shelf-stable items should be stored at a temperature of 85 degrees Fahrenheit or below

  • Foods should be stored as recommended and consumed within 5 days of distribution.
